Within our International projects Operations team, we have an opportunity for a Business Analyst Developer to develop technical solutions to support our International Private Bank Operations teams. The role will require considerable liaison with managers and teams across the business as well as the ability to develop solutions using Access, Excel, VBA, SQL technology as well as Jira, Tableau, Lucidspark, SharePoint etc. Experience of creating and supporting these types of developments within a banking environment would be useful, but is not essential.

Job responsibilities:

Being part of the Projects and Business Innovation Support team, you will help us implement our strategic vision through initiatives that help support the Business Transformation and modernize the processes and tools used. This role requires specific skills to design and build automation solutions (Alteryx, MS Access, Tableau, Xceptor, Lucidspark, Jira etc). In this role you are uniquely placed to build solutions for Operations or leverage our partners in Technology by designing the process and requirements for a Technology implementation. You will, among others perform the following tasks:

  • Design and understand project processes, to drive strategic migration of existing Project management tools.
  • Take the lead on enhancing Access / Excel developments to support various teams
  • Act as central point of contact for internal development queries and issues for project team
  • Establish a "best practice" chart for user developments and assist with its implementation
  • Collaborate with Technology and Project teams to leverage funded Technology projects, where there are opportunities to implement a more effective and scalable technology solution when feasible
  • Manage and prioritise initiatives that are requested by stakeholders,
  • Solve Business Problems through Process Design, Technology solutions and Operations User Automation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Knowledge of Relational Database modelling - advanced SQL knowledge, MS Access knowledge, ability to construct and maintain complex databases
  • Advanced VBA knowledge, ease in handling all Access objects in code
  • Good knowledge of Jira, Lucidspark, Tableau and SharePoint
  • Proven experience in business analysis and driving operational change/system development
  • Experience working with diverse teams and managing different stakeholders (with ability to interact with business users)
  • Innovative thinking with excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in Banking Operations is a plus
