INNOVIM is seeking IT Business Analysts to support our NCEI Data Stewardship contract. Your career at INNOVIM helps NCEI to serve as the central archive for NOAA’s multi-billion-dollar investment in satellite and in situ observations, and model forecasts and projections. Supported by its Cooperative Institutes and Contractors, NCEI stewards the extensive physical and digital data holdings of NOAA and its partners.
Job Description
The IT Business Analysts Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business IT systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
Educational Requirements: BS/BA
Experience Requirements:
- IT Business Analyst I: Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Requires BS/BA in appropriate field (or equivalent) and 0 to 2 years experience.
- IT Business Analyst II: Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Requires BS/BA in appropriate field (or equivalent) and 2 to 4 years experience.
- Experienced with working in a SAFe methodology.
NCEI is headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina. This position may be worked remotely.
