About the Role
Hosana Technology is looking to add an experienced Business Analyst (Azure) with Business Intelligence knowledge to our technical team. You will be the Azure Cloud Developer on current and future projects for existing and new customers. You will have the freedom to help guide the direction of future network and security practices and offerings. You must be driven and able to work to customer and internal deadlines without additional supervision.
Self-motivation to learn and expand your own ability is a key criterion of being a good fit for the position. Working without several layers of upper management offers the creative freedom to grow without restraints. The role consists of project-based consulting work in pre-sales and delivery. There are currently no day-to-day operational, managed service or on-call requirements.
My client is an awarding winning organisation who is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join their dynamic team. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining their platform architecture to ensure the reliability, and efficiency of their systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust and reliable Business Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Experience in a variety of Business Analysis tools and techniques like Stories and Acceptance Criteria/Conditions of Satisfaction (likely to be technical/job stories rather than end user stories)
- Experienced Business Analyst with an in-depth knowledge of process mapping, data and dataflow mapping and story mapping
- Produce all Procurement & Contracts performance reports, covering - workload planning; spend reporting; savings performance; Board/Senior Leadership reporting.
- Work with Procurement, Finance and other stakeholders to ensure that reporting is accurate and is adding value by being useful management information to inform decision making.
- Focus on leading indicators and improving the function through effective analysis and reporting.
- Collate and analyse performance related data and determine and implement action accordingly.
- Strong understanding of data analytics, reporting and Business Intelligence including matters relating to data quality and governance.
- Background in KPI reporting, including business financial benefits.
- MS Office proficient, with expert level in MS Excel, Power BI, Azure Data factory, Data lake and Jira and Confluence for project management
- Ability to work independently and with teams to meet requirements and deadlines
- Gather and analyse reporting requirements for the subsequent identification of an appropriate solution.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Experience of Data Lineage/Data Mapping and understands where the different Data points will feed into.
- Works with business system colleagues to clarify requirements, to plan implementation and to answer queries through the development process
- Plan, prioritise, manage and execute analysis work on multiple simple or individual complex items in order to meet project timescales
- Identify and determine full project life cycle deliverables using standard methods
- Present business and technical concepts to process owners and business users
- Identify and assess business and IT risk
- Prepare reports and communications that are tailored to different situations and audiences
- Working with one or more of these would be beneficial SQL/T-SQL/Python/SPSS/Stata
- Understanding Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid Models of project/product experience is an asset
- Experience working in Agile projects and educating stakeholders including Product Owners and Business partners in Agile ways of working
- Ability to take a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving and pay close attention to detail.
- Resilient when working under pressure, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Technical skills & experience:
- Experience in developing data ingestion, data processing and analytical pipelines for relational databases, and data warehouse solutions
- Experience Data factory, MDX/ DAX, SQL Server, Power Automate, Power Apps
- Experience developing Data Flows and Pipelines in Microsoft Azure Data Factory.
- Cloud migration methodologies and processes including tools like Azure Data Factory
- Implementation and delivery of Azure platform solutions to develop and deploy Azure data factory
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree qualifications or relevant work experience
- Ability to contribute to the definition and structuring of projects
- A minimum Business 5 years of experience managing sophisticated
- Experience in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your colleagues
- Good to have relevant Certifications
