Are you looking to make a difference and deliver technology improvements in a blue light service?
Can you demonstrate your skills and experience in ICT Business Analysis techniques?
Do you have experience in assisting the planning and delivering ICT projects?
Do you have a good working knowledge of business process and development cycles?
If you can answer yes, this is an exciting opportunity to broaden your ICT experience within our busy ICT Team at Service HQ.
As an ICT Business Analyst, your focus will be to support an increase in digital application developments, to directly engage with our users and to turn their vision into practical digital applications through effective requirement gathering. You will develop opportunities to engage with staff in order to improve the way existing ICT systems are used and work on new development projects and implementation. You will be working within the ICT department, but you will be required to support the Service’s mission to make Hampshire and Isle of Wight safer. This is a varied role that is user focused, whilst liaising heavily within the ICT department to support delivery and solution testing through to customer sign-off.
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive IT professional, with strong interpersonal skills. You need to have the ability to engage and work across all levels to define and document the requirements. Some experience and understanding of Microsoft 365 is required with the opportunity to develop skills within the role. You need to be a team player and be able to demonstrate that you can work on your own initiative, using your skills and experience to work with a wide range of people and suppliers where your skills in communication and negotiation will be as important as your Business Analyst and ICT skills. You will be able to apply your technical knowledge with innovative ideas to implement the use of technology in operational situations where your ideas and solutions will be directly assisting Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service in making life safer.
A flexible and friendly working environment will add to the attraction of this post, based at Service HQ, Eastleigh with the added benefit of hybrid working.
