The Opportunity

As a Gentrack Business Analyst, you will foster collaboration between our customer subject matter experts and the Gentrack service delivery team. You will take ownership for demonstrating the solution and working with the customer to understand their requirements to ensure the solution is configured to meet their needs.


You serve as the business conduit between the customer and the Gentrack service delivery team.


Our Professional Services team deploy Gentrack solutions across a diverse range of customers in either traditional waterfall or modern agile environments.


As the role is a customer facing travel is often required.


The Specifics

  • Demonstrate modern agile values and principles.
  • Acquire in-depth product and utility industry knowledge Facilitate and attend meetings such as daily stand ups, sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Facilitate workshops and elicit requirements
  • Analyse and define business requirements; user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Analyse, map and document business processes
  • Work with the customer (product owner) to prioritise the product backlog to streamline the delivery of priorities and plan releases
  • Work with technical team to develop effective solutions
  • Provide input into product direction regarding functionality
  • Provide software training to internal and external customers
  • Provide testing services to external customers as required
  • Provide on-site support services

Some important characteristics we are looking for

  • Experience as a Business Analyst / Product Owner / Scrum Master
  • Experience in working in Waterfall or Agile (preferably Scrum) environments.
  • Experience in working in a Professional Services / Consultancy environment
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of business processes
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate technical and business concepts
  • A record of building strong products/project delivered solutions and collaborating
  • Substantial personal responsibility and autonomy
  • Exceptional communication skills, and being a good presenter
  • Experience in software development
  • Experience in the Utilities sector
