This role is to work as part of a programme team . The role is the sweet spot between the Business and Technology and will involve working with the business to review business issues, define business requirements and recommend solutions, and working with IT to complete the analysis, design, testing, documentation and implementation of applications systems.
- Developing a good understanding of business systems architecture, to provide knowledge to IT management and business representatives.
- Contributing to feasibility studies, business case development, project definition, requirements definition and functional / technical specifications as required.
- Providing support to the Programme Manager in the delivery of projects from initial definition through to implementation.
- Writing user stories independently or supporting the Senior Business Analyst in user story creation in the required tool e.g. JIRA
- Ensuring comprehensive system and user acceptance test plans are written and that testing is completed according to the test plans.
- Leading and supporting User Acceptance Test cycles as required.
This role is a Hybrid role based in Basingstoke with 2-3 days in the office
- Good appreciation of the techniques and technical architecture involved in systems development
- Strong analysis and business system design skills
- Ability to understand a combination of business and technical architectures
- Strong interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to problem solving
- Understanding of the development lifecycle preferably with experience of retail systems development
- Previous experience of working within Retail or Ecommerce advantageous
- Experience of using JIRA and DevOps (desirable).
- Formal training in analysis and design methodologies (desirable).
