Job description
At CloudNC we are ambitiously and successfully developing deep technology that automates CNC Manufacturing. We have a factory running commercially to produce intricate and high-specification work for our clients which allows us to also tie in our software to a tangible, physical output.
In excess of £150 Bn worth of components are produced using CNC machines every year. The industry is reliant heavily on human input which is slow and costly. Demand and value of the industry is rapidly growing, as are the increased demands on a vanishing workforce (50% will retire within the next decade).
We’re on a mission to automate manufacturing and create a clean and sustainable industrial revolution that accelerates humanity.
We are driving a manufacturing revolution and we have achieved notable success and world firsts where others have failed. We are ambitiously scaling up having closed on our Series B, achieving partnerships and investments by the best possible organisations in our respective industries – including Autodesk (multi-industry software world leader), Lockheed Martin (the largest aerospace/defence company in the world), British Patient Capital (arm of the UK Gov’s British Business Bank focused on pushing British R&D in large potential large scale tech companies). You can find out more on these partnerships here:

We have been featured in Forbes and technology linked organisations (e.g. TechCrunch, The Engineer etc.), we were awarded and named as Technology Pioneers by the World Economic Forum and our founders are listed in the Forbes 30 under 30.
What it’s like to work together.
We are embarking on a strong scaling strategy and pivotal to this success are the people.
We are guided by the mission and by being humans of empathy, intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement/development (of self and the team).
We are over 90 people strong, with the ambition to double this headcount in the near future. We encourage your thoughts and feedback to help shape the company, whether through direct correspondence, feedback platforms, open door time and other channels.
We operate a “flexible first” environment, our HQ office is based in London and our modern factory is based in Chelmsford, Essex.
The Role
We are searching for a Business Analyst to help us guide product development. As a valued member of our team you will be central to understanding the value of our products and their integration into the manufacturing industry.
You will develop a deep understanding of our products, the manufacturing businesses they are intended for; and the technical complexities of machining. You will spend time with key users to elaborate their needs and translate these into prioritised requirements for our product roadmaps. You will also work closely with domain experts to understand the challenges faced and how to overcome them; and closely with our engineering teams to ensure requirements and their business context are clearly understood.
The role is based in London and as a key communicator between software engineering, stakeholders, and subject matter experts, you will also spend time at our manufacturing facility in Chelmsford (travel expenses paid). Remote working is supported.
About You
You are a detail-focused collaborator looking for a challenge, with experience in Business Analysis, System Engineering, Product Owner/Manager, Lead Engineer or other product focussed role. You are equally comfortable quantifying business markets, mapping industry workflows and discussing technical details. You have experience in identifying business needs and translating these into technical requirements for implementation. You are an excellent communicator and have a strong background in managing the scope of a product across multiple releases and translating the scope into engineering tasks.
You are passionate about working with subject matter experts and software engineering teams and the opportunity to create something world-leading is too good to miss.
You may not have focused on manufacturing, but the idea of working with machines of jaw dropping power and sophistication excites you. You are capable of becoming intimately familiar with the business drivers of factories and opportunities for technology that maximises them.
