About The Role
- Produce clear and well structured scoping/requirements documentation, using pre-agreed and defined standard methodology & documentation
- Identify risks and opportunities associated with proposed projects
- Understand the design principles, priorities and business objectives to be achieved
- Translate business objectives into business requirements
- Collaborate with various departments to gather data and develop strategies
- Support the UAT process, providing thorough testing against requests as needed
- Question and challenge where needed, existing and new process and application design
- Evaluate the effectiveness of solutions to ensure they meet business objectives collating feedback from relevant internal stakeholders to guide necessary iterations.
- Participate in project planning and execution.
Teams to collaborate with
- Business Analysts in other functional areas – to ensure consistency of approach
- Business Planning and Improvement Team - interface with this team on any relevant internal projects
- Group Information Systems – interface with this team as needed to refine requirements and understand options.

Critical competencies – technical fit
- You will have the knowledge and experience to carry out standard relevant tasks confidently and consistently without supervision
- Hold or be working towards a recognised Business Analyst qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Solid understanding of Business Analyst techniques, methodologies, and best practices
- Familiarity with or experience in the IT industry is preferred
- Able to work effectively in fast paced environments while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

Position Summary
As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of business challenges in order to produce problem statements and detailed requirements documentation, to improve operational efficiency within your functional area. You will be required to translate business challenges around applications and processes into opportunities for improvement and propose solutions where necessary to address these, ensuring they meet business needs.
Role Mission
Claranet UK’s strategy is to focus on a finite number of strategic priorities. The role of the Business Analyst is to deliver value into the function areas through the successful implementation of business requirements. In order to achieve this the Business Analyst must develop a deep understanding of business processes and application design/usage in the related functional area.
Objectives and Key Results
- Capture and refine problem statements and business cases, analyse and propose solutions
- Track and report against active requests to ensure successful delivery
- Ensure that requirements have been met by the proposed solution and then again once developed.
