Castle Trust Bank
Full Time Basingstoke, England 52541 - 40181 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join us on the exciting and rewarding path we are taking here at Castle Trust Bank. Having become a fully authorised bank in 2020, we pride ourselves in being a fintech challenger bank, providing specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts to a variety of customers.

Working in our Technology & Projects team, you will be working across several business units or functions of the Bank including Consumer Credit, Property, Savings, Shared Services (Finance, Risk & Compliance, Legal, HR).

You will be responsible for capturing the project needs of the business and communicating this to the technology function through effective documentation, translating these requirements into functional specifications and detailed test plans, providing the link between the customer, development team and any third-party regarding software functionality, throughout the whole development life cycle. Across the various business units, you will be supporting internal and external Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Testers, Product Managers, Analysts and IT specialists. You will work with other highly intellectual Business Analysts to help drive the change and transformation agenda for the Bank.

The team’s approach is of high pace, combined with the need to deliver extremely high quality & robust software; with success being measured by safe, sustained and high-quality delivery.

This role will benefit a hybrid working arrangement, to be based between our Basingstoke office (3 days) and working the rest of the week from home.

What we are looking for in you…

What is important to us is that you have previous experience working with/within technical teams as a Business Analyst/Systems Analyst, with a relevant educational background (e.g. data, systems or business analysis). Considering the nature of this role, you will need to be confident in identifying solutions and providing resolutions to problems, using structured/formal methods (such as UML or ISEB) with knowledge of project management tools and techniques.

What is equally important is that you have a natural ability to work well and effectively under pressure on multiple, simultaneous projects with conflicting priorities and demands. You will need to be a positive advocate for change, with strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate with and present to a wide variety of audiences (both technical and non-technical). Your problem solving and documentation skills should be second to none.

What’s in it for you…

As well as a competitive salary, we offer an annual performance related bonus based on individual and company performance. In addition, a generous contributory pension scheme through Hargreaves Lansdown, life assurance, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays on top) with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days (terms apply).

Wellbeing is also high on our agenda, and we offer Vitality at Work membership. In addition, all colleagues have free access to Lifeworks EAP to support their health and wellbeing. We also offer free eye test vouchers and discounted gym membership, and if that’s not enough, we also offer season ticket travel loans and various discounts through Perkbox.

Caught your attention? If so, we’d love to talk to you and tell you more about what it’s like to work at Castle Trust Bank – The Place To Work!

Castle Trust Bank is an equal opportunity employer where we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our colleagues to thrive.
