THE ROLE
Under the direction of the Project Management Office (PMO), the Senior Business Analyst develops, prepares and documents solutions, such as business objectives, requirements and statements of work. They participate in the development and implementation of projects and liaises with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to research and evaluate business and technical requirements. They prepare and present feasibility studies, prototypes, business cases and cost benefit analysis for projects. You will be:
Responsible for the identification of assumptions, alternatives and transition issues for projects, as well as identification and documentation of business or legislative constraints. Responsible for redesign of business processes, as required.
Responsible for participation in project status meetings, liaising with colleagues to develop systems designs, project plans, and functional specifications, liaising with Quality team to develop testing plans, acceptance plans and to ensure requirement traceability, and liaising with Systems/Network team to develop technical specifications.
Responsible to review usability of applications prior to development, and present mock-ups to stakeholders and SMEs.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field AND several years of experience in an IM/IT related field
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
Experience
Five (5) + years of experience in Business Analysis with demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
In conducting Stakeholder interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand and identify all information relevant to the project, such as records retention schedule, metadata fields, etc.
In developing presentations for stakeholders or senior executives
In elicitation, validation, documentation, and traceability of requirements
In managing requirements, requirements change control, and scope control
In capturing current use cases associated with business requirements
In requirements management tools, such as Azure DevOps
In analysis and visual representation of As-Is and To-Be process models, and business process standardization/improvement
In transformation of complex technical concepts into formats more easily understood by non-technical (business) audiences
In implementation and/or support of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution
In establishing acceptance test criteria with client, developing use test cases
In developing test plans including functional, end to end, and acceptance testing
In managing and coordinating user testing, and presenting test findings
Competencies, Skills and Abilities

English or French Essential, Bilingual an asset

2-year term with potential for permanent.
This position has an assigned location and may allow flexible work options such as remote or hybrid work but the employee must be able to report to the assigned work location at their own cost if required. In the event that we don’t find a local candidates, employee located anywhere in Canada will also be considered. Remote work may be required depending on health and safety considerations.
