Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join our Corporate Business Support Team. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and who can provide excellent support to those working in the front-line services supporting our residents. This is a secondment/fixed-term contract opportunity for 24 months.

About us

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Corporate Business Support, which forms part of the Resources Business Unit in Buckinghamshire Council. The team provide excellent support services to the Children’s Social Care Teams across the county. We are looking for a full time Business Support Administrator (Career Grade 1-2) working 37 hours per week, to support the Youth Offending Service (YOS) in High Wycombe. Should there be a business need, staff may be required to work across multiple locations.

About the role

Key Accountabilities

  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Managing important & confidential correspondence from internal customers and external customers, including Police and Court information
  • Dealing with telephone queries from internal and external customers
  • Note taking for a wide range of meetings
  • Inputting data onto the Council’s internal data bases and electronic systems
  • Financial responsibilities, including processing invoices and making purchases using a range of databases
  • Arranging internal and external meetings including, bookings for visitors to the office
  • General administrative duties

Any-Desk:

As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements*.

Other information

The role is office based but is currently being offered on a 60% office and 40% home working agreement. This arrangement is under continuous review, so may revert to an increase in office working, in line with business needs. This role is a fixed term contract for 2 years and offered for 37 hours per week, with a working pattern: -

Monday - Thursday 9am-5:30pm, with 1 hour’s unpaid lunch

Friday 9am-5pm, with 1 hour’s unpaid lunch

If successful you will be required to undergo a DBS application and, in some roles an enhanced DBS is required.

This post has a starting salary of £23,365 per annum
