You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong communication and presentation skills with the capability to listen and influence stakeholders in delivering the right solutions.
In this role you’ll:
  • Work closely with Business Streams and PMDs to facilitate, document and interpret business processes, business and functional requirements and translate these into application and operational requirements.
  • Document workflows and the results of the business analysis and obtain sign-off from users on the specifications.
  • Monitor situations and identify trends, potential strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, or threats.
  • Collect, understand and transmit the business requirements for functional areas of the business and translate these into specifications and detailed test plans.
  • Model business structures, systems, and processes in light of proposed changes ·
  • Support the project manager to manage external supplier selection and evaluation processes
  • Provide the link between the end users, development team and any third party, throughout the development lifecycle. ·
  • Design and execute the test scenarios and test scripts and support the business in conducting adequate regression and user acceptance testing.
  • Promote good working relationships and respond quickly to deal with conflict or breakdowns in communication.
  • Negotiate effectively to achieve agreed courses of action with stakeholders whilst maintaining their buy-in
  • Drive and support business users to follow good governance practice such as regular review of issues, risks and dependencies.
  • Facilitate meetings incorporating business, technology and user groups to gather information and client requirements.
  • Gather data to enable understanding of business processes, related barriers, risks and client needs.
You’ll be someone with:
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of interpreting business requests and translating them to requirements
  • Demonstrable evidence of gathering, analysing and documenting business processes
  • The ability to present to an audience in both formal and informal situations
  • Good knowledge of BDO products and services advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including active listening
  • Demonstratable confidence in dealing with all levels
