From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking Direct team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to- end solutions designed to help small and large businesses reach their potential.
We are currently seeking a driven and commercially minded individual to join the Business Banking Direct team in the role of Relationship Manager.
The role of the Relationship Manager - Business Banking Direct is to acquire, retain and expand relationships with customers we want to bank within Business Banking. You will maximise profitability by identifying customer needs first and then recommending appropriate solutions for the customer to consider and accept.
In this role, you will:
- Be an ambassador for HSBC and develop the bank’s profile in wider community
- Optimise existing relationships by assisting in the delivery of solutions, products and services appropriate to meet customer needs
- Seek new opportunities by nurturing existing relationships and identify new business opportunities
- Build a network of business introducers in the business community
- Adhere to structures and processes for the management of credit, operational, reputational, criminal and regulatory risk
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Experience of working in a Commercial Banking environment (is essential)
- Proven lending experience (up to £300k)
- An ability to deliver excellent customer service while proactively seeking innovative ways to improve this service
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of effectively negotiating and influencing others
- Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
- A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
This is a hybrid role where the base location can be UK Wide. However, it is preferable for the ideal candidates to live near one of our Business Banking Direct Hubs: Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham, Swansea, London, Leicester or Glasgow (Scotland) so they can work from their nearest office twice a week.
