Business Analyst
London
As a Barclays Business Analyst, you’ll primarily focus on regulatory reporting areas within Business area, which includes but not limited to Regulation rewrites projects, Data quality and control projects and Data remediation projects. You’ll partner with Business team and work closely Project team, Operations and wider stakeholders in delivering the changes projects for the business area. You’ll act in capacity of SME for the Business Area and represent technology in regulatory working forums.

What will you be doing?
- Working with Business & Stakeholders to understand scope, suggest improvements, analysing Business needs and finding solutions in line with the vision of the programme
- Demonstrating team work ethic and dynamic attitude through effective interaction with all people involved in the change management cycle
- Working independently to elicit, validate and document systems requirements in user stories, appropriate Acceptance Criteria and business testing stories and outcomes
- Providing expert knowledge to support implementation and any issue resolution
- Participating in full end to end project life management via sprint deliveries
- Contributing into Sprint planning and reviews; show & tells, retrospectives and also daily stand ups
- Monitoring short term goals of the project to ensure that they are being completed within the agreed timeframes to deliver the agreed scope
- Reviewing test cases prepared by the QA teams
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or equivalent
- Good understanding of project delivery methodologies including the software development lifecycle and the role of the business analyst in delivering IT projects
- Experience in communicating with a wide array of people, with good experience of stakeholder management
- Self-motivated team player, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in working in Large scale regulatory projects in Investment Bank or Financial Institution
- Exposure to regulatory reporting data/ systems would be advantageous
- Awareness of transaction reporting across various regulations
- Knowledge of the main asset classes traded within an investment bank and associated static data
