As a Barclays Business Analyst, you will be joining Functions Legal Technology team that provides technology services for the Legal teams within Barclays. In your new role, you will be supporting with all aspects of business change related to the implementation of new technology within the Global Contracts Services team. You will be the key coordination point between the business, technology teams and external consultancies – responsible for the successful delivery of key programme activities such as UAT and Training.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. What will you be doing?

  • Leading and facilitating requirements workshops and process review sessions with Legal/GCS/other functions SMEs (local and global)
  • Understanding and documenting the underlying as-is processes, systems and data used by the impacted processes and identify opportunities to improve and leverage them
  • Leading to-be process design and functional design and deliver the business/system requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Validating the technology solutions on behalf of senior stakeholders, Legal/GCS/Other functions SMEs, helping the business to adopt the new technology solutions
  • Identifying the opportunities to enhance the controls of processes to further aid future improvements
  • Performing data analysis to identify process footprints and study key performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities in the process
  • Identifying key improvement opportunities in the Legal processes and quantify associated business benefits
  • Supporting the design and implementation of suitable controls based on identification and documentation of risks within the proposed process solution
What we’re looking for:
• Solid experience as Business Analyst, experience in process reengineering/process mapping
  • Experience in functional design and User story preparation in technology implementation projects using agile methodologies
  • Experience in the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing including the documentation of test strategies/test plans/Test Scripts
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders


Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience in business analysis in Legal Agreements within the Markets business
  • Experience in Markets Legal Agreement data model designs
  • Lean Six Sigma Qualified (Yellow belt or higher), ISEB Business Analysis
  • Experience of End to End System/process change and experience of using JIRA for writing requirements
