Quality Systems Specialist
About the position

At Kongsberg Automotive Normanton we manufacture parts for some of the most premier automotive companies in the world including Aston Martin, McLaren, and Jaguar Landrover, alongside the manufacture of the highest quality PTFE hose used in both automotive and industrial sectors. On a day to day basis, the Quality Systems Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance to certification levels for our facility in the UK, and sister facility in Poland, by engaging with colleagues and suppliers throughout our business.
Responsibilities
- Implementation, maintenance and development of the IATF 16949, ISO:45001 and ISO:14001 management systems
- Contacts with the certification body
- Maintaining and distributing system documentation
- Building awareness of the quality systems among employees
- Maintaining the audit plan and coordination of post-audit actions
- Conducting system and process audits according to the established audit plan
- System development and taking actions to improve the system
- Prepare regular KPI data for quality reporting and management reviews
- Preparation of input data for the annual management review
- Supervision over the validity of procedures, instructions and records
- Supplier quality management including customer & supplier PPAPs
Requirements
Experience & skills:
- Degree level educated or relevant experience
- Min. 3 years experience in automotive industry in a relevant position
- Accreditation as Internal Auditor IATF16949 and VDA 6.3
- Knowledge of automotive core tools, including problem solving
- Experience of supplier management
- Competent IT Skills in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel overseas on an infrequent basis
