Technical Business Analyst
Glasgow
As a Barclays Technical Business Analyst, you will be part of Group Functions CIO (GF CIO) who are responsible for executing change delivery across the Finance & Controls portfolio. You will work to understand business problems, often helping to bridge the gap between the customer / business stakeholders and teams with a technical focus. Accordingly, you must combine a knowledge of their business area with an understanding of the products, services or technology that they are working with.

We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.
• Collaborating with Controls Technology leads and Product owners to understand business imperatives, documenting outcomes and translating them into technical objectives
- Working with external and internal stakeholders to flesh out the requirements, identifying interdependencies, document user stories with acceptance criteria in agile environment
- Engaging with internal teams for development of integrations and interfaces required for the business outcomes
- Constructing application and process flow diagrams, data flows (with data models and meta data) for internal and vended applications in line with business requirements
- Supporting functional and regression testing for go-live of internal/external applications
- Serving as the SME for business and functional domain knowledge, working closely with the Product owners and suppliers
- Keeping in close touch with, and contributes to current developments in the relevant technical specialties within Barclays, own industry and outside
- Adhering to Policies & Standards appropriate to the role - outlined in the Code of Conduct and mandatory trainings
• Good knowledge of business analysis techniques – including gathering requirements and documenting functional design, process flows and data analysis
- Solid analysis skills, with the ability to analyse a range of data, using various systems and being able to present back, and provide recommendations
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical abilities
- Solid Interpersonal and Communication skills, including negation and influencing skills
• Experience in using MS Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint
- Good knowelage of Agile (Scrum and Kanban), and waterfall methodologies
- Excellent knowledge of Lifecycle Management and project management tools: Rally, JIRA, Confluence
