Sawyer (Night shift)
Bayram Timber are the UK’s leading bespoke timber supplier to the nation’s caravan and merchant sectors. We are also part of the BSW Group, the UK’s largest forestry and timber business and member of Binderholz, Europe’s largest timber processor.
We are looking for experienced Sawyers to support our busy operation located in Melton, Hull.
What “wood” I be doing?
- Running Cross-cut production lines
- Completing all relevant paperwork associated with production orders
- Keeping good clear written records of product details
- Maintaining general cleanliness of the factory environment at all times
What skills “wood” I need?
Whilst full training and support will be given, it is important that you:
- have operated within a timber manufacturing facility before, in a similar role or senior labourer role (who’s ready for the next step up!)
- have a good attitude to working hard
- are safety conscious
- enjoy working part as a team member supporting the business goals
What “wood” the reward be?
We have recently changed our pay structure to reflect the current market.
Roles start at £11.50 per hour, however depending on previous experience and/or qualifications hourly rates of £12.14 and £12.44 per hour may be given.
We currently have 2 shift patterns, which are fixed. This position is for the nightshift, working hours 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 17:45pm to 04:00am, which attracts a 15% shift allowance supplement.
There is also ample opportunity to work additional overtime too, paid at 1.5 the basic rate.
