Role – Senior Consultant
Technology – Life Science R&D / Agrochemical R&D
Location – Bracknell, UK
Business Unit – MFGDCG
Compensation – Competitive (including bonus)

Job Description

• Lead the IT business analysis activities for multiple life science R&D capabilities; ensuring that cross process opportunities are identified, understood, and leveraged
• Together with key stakeholders, you establish direction for IT solutions and related ways of working
• Ensure business needs are translated into epics and user stories and support the Product Owner to manage a product backlog that enables the incremental delivery of value to R&D through IT solutions
• Ensure that a healthy product backlog is created and maintained in order that priorities are clear and directly drive business needs & strategy
• Manage multiple product backlogs in the format of prioritized epics and user stories that meet INVEST criteria: Independent, Negotiable, Valuable, Estimable, Small and Testable
• Lead and drive the development of a digital future landscape across multiple R&D capabilities together with key stakeholders in those areas, ensuring business value is realized
• Ensure a joined-up view across stakeholders on data pipelines, products, microservices and APIs by working with key stakeholders and technical leads to develop data solutions
• Be an active member of the analyst community, contributing to setting best practice, peer review, mentoring and coaching
• Promote a culture of innovation and experimentation and be bold to identify opportunities to create breakthroughs

Required

• Degree or equivalent background in Life Science – related fields (Agrochemicals/Pharmacology/Pharmaceutics/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Drug Discovery etc.)
• Experience in life sciences R&D domain with respect to AI screening, formulations, and statistical data analysis
• Business analysis experience in developing and evolving data platforms in the cloud
• Good understanding of BDD & TDD (behavior driven development / Test driven development)
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus across diverse interest groups and manage a high level of complexity and uncertainty
• Demonstrated passion for user experience and value generation
• Agile delivery and steady state operations mindset (DevOps, SAFe, SRE)
• Good to have experience in Lab automation and Lab testing
• Fluency in English, additional languages beneficial
