Marcom is Apple’s Global Marketing Communications group. We are responsible for all of Apple’s advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world- class communications. Our Business Affairs team in Marcom is in search for a Business Affairs Manager to advise on BA matters related to Apple’s marketing communications across Europe. Those include driving the planning, licensing and execution of intellectual property rights-managed content in Apple marketing. This role will be representing Marcom’s Business Affairs European team with a high degree of ownership, integrity, and accountability. As a part of our team, you will be collaborating with the creative, business and legal teams across functions. Your deep expertise in encouraging and managing relationships across internal and external partners will be crucial for your success. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for advising on all business affairs matters related to original marketing production work produced locally in Europe. You will also be responsible for securing regionally relevant content for deeper customer resonance and engagement. To this end, you will be coordinating and planning appropriate, locale-specific content to replace Worldwide Marcom content that is not available or suitable for use in Europe. Overall, you are a teammate who knows how to react quickly to new information, opinions, and direction and strategically pivot when needed. Last minute changes to production will leave you unfazed, and your experience to date will have primed you to navigate such changes with confidence and expertise. This position will be required to work some 5-day weeks in office at times of the year as well for production needs. This truly is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding and diverse team! Key Qualifications

  • Relevant advertising, marketing or production management experience in a media content-focused industry and thrive in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Strong understanding of consumer-facing content (advertising, social media, UGC, consumer digital experiences, entertainment and editorial) and associated risks is a requirement. Knowledge and understanding of Apple technology (iPhone, iPad, apps, Mac, etc.) is also key.
  • A solid understanding of IP rights including copyright, trademark, and licensing in the area of entertainment and/or advertising law with emphasis on tech, music, film / TV industries is preferable but not required.
  • Proven ability to be effective and to exercise influence in a sophisticated organization; exercising sound strategic, business judgment in challenging situations; independent and proactive.
  • Self-motivated with high emotional intelligence, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and reliably on multiple projects.
  • Fluency in both oral and written English is required.
  • Highly collaborative and responds positively to change.
  • A strong passion for all content types, in particular app technology.
  • Teammate willing to work with staff at all levels
  • High degree of flexibility with in-office hours
  • Willingness to learn something new

Description

- Content curation of third party content for use in Apple’s marketing material. Work with these entities to secure consent and clear rights when referencing their assets - Supervise and ensure compliance with procedures and policies with third party content providers - Facilitate internal communication between teams so projects are moving forward (flag local legal issues, content constraints, timing, etc.) - Maintain communication with team leads to make sure information is flowing properly, action items are clear, and issues are raised at the right time and to the right people - Assess, handle and communicate risks, and advise team leads concerning risk, exposure and strategic options - Lead third party content review process - Educate teams on third part content in order to ensure teams are working efficiently

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree required (JD or MBA).
