Business Administrator
Our client is an established, family-owned, nationwide same-day courier service who have over 25 years industry experience. They are looking for a confident, proactive Administrator to join a friendly, fast-paced team, who can provide support in all areas of business operations.
Alongside your work, you will also be studying a Level 3 Business Administration qualification as part of an apprenticeship.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Confidently dealing with all incoming customer calls quickly, courteously, and efficiently
- Making bookings accurately and advising clients of options to suit their requirements
- Completing customer bookings on the company’s in-house computer program (SLM)
- To resolve and direct customer, courier and control queries
- Proactively keeping clients informed of delays or issues as advised
- Proactive monitoring of third-party service and costs to ensure highest level of service and maximized margins
- Fleet control as and when required, utilising Velocity and promoting SLM to clients
- Provide support for out of hours services on rotational basis when required
You will need:
- Excellent verbal and written communication with a pleasant and friendly telephone manner
- Good prioritisation and time management
- Good customer service
- Accurate data entry skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Good punctuality
- Good relationship building skills
