Business Administrator
The Role:
A broad ranging role working for a small independent ‘Process Improvement’ training and consultancy company based in York but operating nationally. You will report to the Administration Manager / Business
Manager and support with the administration of the business and the management of learners through our training programmes. You will be a pro-active, self-starter with excellent administrative skills and the ability to work independently, set priorities and manage workload.
Responsible for:
● Training programme scheduling and training room bookings
● Trainer travel & accommodation booking
● Adjusting training materials and liaising with printers in the production of training materials
● Learner onboarding, tracking and management
● Dealing with customer enquires
● Liaison with existing and potential customers to secure new or additional business
● Supporting the development of the business
● Documenting new processes and keeping procedures up to date
● Basic Bookkeeping (full internal training will be provided)
Experience:
● Minimum 3+ years’ experience in administrative role(s)
Qualifications:
● You will be required to hold GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 9 to 4 or equivalent or level 2 functional skills in Maths and English.

● Able to use Microsoft Word to produce proposals, reports and training materials
● Able to use Microsoft Excel to produce simple spreadsheets

Desirable (but non-essential) Skills:
● Customer service experience
● Experience of invoicing and accounts
● Full driving license
● Evidence of receiving training in MS Office including Word, Excel & PowerPoint at Intermediate or
Advanced levels
Conditions:
● The Business Administrator will primarily work independently from their own home with the need to attend occasional business meetings
● Part time working at 22 hours per week over 5 days (minimum of 3 hours to be worked on any working day) at a full-time equivalent salary of £27,000 per annum.
