Role: Bus Driver
Wage: $19.00 - $20.16 per hour

Part-Time 10 - 15 hours per week

Program:

The YMCA is the largest not-for-profit provider of child care in Canada and the
YMCA of Northern BC is the largest provider in the north, serving: Chetwynd,
Dawson Creek, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Prince George, Pouce Coupe,
Tumbler Ridge and Vanderhoof. YMCA Child Care is a home away from home.

Responsibilities of this role:
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and report any concerns to Coordinator

• Safely transport children from their schools to their respective centres

• Provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for children while ensuring safe

passage to their destination

• Implement a fun, safe and educational program for school aged children following the

standards mandated by the Province of British Columbia, Community Care Regulations

Qualifications:
• Minimum Class 2 Driver’s License or willingness to obtain

• 19 years of age or older (per licensing)

• Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check with clear Vulnerable Sector Search & physical

ability to do all duties required

• Current Child Care First Aid, CPR and AED certification or willingness to obtain

• Three professional references (two references pertaining to child care or supervision)

• Current immunization record and TB testing compliance (or willingness to obtain)

• As this position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Grant, preference will be given to

applicants who meet the CSJ Grant criteria
