DELIVERY DRIVER
The role of the delivery driver is key to the business as you will deliver a range of products to commercial destinations. This job is a varied role which includes making deliveries and collections, completion of paperwork, pallet and vehicle checks and providing excellent customer service.

This role is full time, working 4/7 days. £11.25 per hour plus performance bonus following probation period.

Responsibilities/ Key result areas:

• Collect vehicle and goods.
• Complete daily safety checks of Braehead Foods vehicle
• Plan the route and prioritise workload so time commitments are met
• Delivering correct orders to customers
• Greeting customers, getting signatures to confirm goods received and giving invoices to customers
• Working with customer service and procurement to arrange credit notes for incorrect orders
• Updating delivery records
• Returning undelivered items to the warehouse
• Accurate recording of working and driving hours to comply with road transport regulations
• Ensuring temperatures are recorded at delivery point
• Van is washed inside and out at the end of the shift

Criteria:

• Full UK driving license, with no more than 3 points on license
• Knowledge of driving in the area is an advantage but not necessary
• Previous multi-drop experience
• Ability to work quickly and to tight deadlines
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Lifting and carrying skills
• Ability to complete record sheets and paperwork
• Flexible approach to working as overtime may sometimes be required
