The Halls, Wolverhampton, AEG Presents newest venue, is seeking a Building Services Manager.
The Building Services Manager will form an integral part of the management team for The Halls, who will provide the expertise and accountability for the maintenance undertakings (reactive and oversite of PPM); the management of any other maintenance operatives, but significantly sub-contractors across the site.
You’ll manage any reactive works which include but are not limited to duties such as electrical works (subject to qualifications) decorating, paving, plumbing, glazing, carpentry and plastering.
You’ll also manage the relevant elements of the planned preventative maintenance programme to maintain the M & E elements of the buildings and maximise the life of all infrastructure and capital equipment.
Whilst undertaking regular inspections of the property for a variety of purposes including pre-event, general building, compliance, and Health & Safety related inspections; you’ll be responsible for the compilation of periodic reports on all aspects of the M&E service delivery and ensure the venue is maintained to the highest possible levels and that the priority areas of the venue are closely monitored.
You’ll represent the Building Services department in relevant company meetings including meetings with other stakeholders and ensure all building related health and safety and statutory obligations are met and a positive health and safety culture is maintained in the team.
We’re looking for someone with a relevant M&E Engineering qualification to at least technician level, who has experience of managing a complex building with high visitor footfall and can demonstrate considerable breadth and depth of knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering related facilities maintenance issues.
You’ll have experience of managing in house and sub-contracted in teams; have sound budgetary management skills and be commercially astute and aware of clients and customer’s needs.
Qualified in health & safety to at least IOSH Managing Safely level; you’ll have experience in compiling and reviewing Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
A great communicator, you’ll be able to build good working relationships with both colleagues and external customers and clients.
