Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Builder to join our construction team at RA Construction and Engineering Limited, a reputable construction company based in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. As a Builder with RA Construction and Engineering Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of various construction projects while upholding safety standards, project timelines, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

- Participate in all phases of construction projects, including site preparation, foundation laying, framing, roofing, and finishing.

- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to interpret project plans and ensure accurate implementation.

- Perform tasks related to concrete pouring, bricklaying, carpentry, roofing, plastering, and other construction activities as required.

- Operate a variety of construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join building materials accurately and securely.

- Maintain a clean and organised work area, both on the construction site and within shared workspaces.

- Assist in the management of construction waste disposal in an environmentally responsible manner.

- Contribute to problem-solving and troubleshooting on-site to address unexpected challenges effectively.

- Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors when necessary, ensuring smooth project workflow.

- Report project progress, challenges, and completed tasks to supervisors regularly.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience as a Builder in the construction industry.

- Understanding of construction principles, techniques, and practices.

- Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools commonly used in construction.

- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.

- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and subcontractors.

- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety guidelines in the UK.

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
