Are you enthusiastic, energetic, organised and full of life? We are looking for someone like you to join our team at Bubbleology London Bloomsbury store. We need flexible people willing to work up to 15 hours on weekends. We are currently seeking vibrant, friendly professionals to join our opening Bubbleologist team. You will be working mainly in the front of house preparing drinks, taking orders, and serving our customers.

We are a leading bubble tea brand in Europe with stores across the Middle East and USA! We are currently in 6 countries and we are recruiting Bubbleology Bloomsbury store in London. If you have experience in a busy bar/café/restaurant, can work under pressure, and think you would make a great asset to our team, then give us a shout.

Job Role

Key focuses for the role are excellent bubble tea quality and amazing service, drink counter operation, cleanliness, maintenance, and team training. The impact of a great bubbleologist will allow a café to grow bubble tea drink sales. The bubbleologist is an integral part of the café team and will be expected to carry out other duties as appropriate to the business need.

Key Responsibilities

  • To create delicious bubble tea according to Bubbleology standards in an efficient and safe environment.
  • To always follow the order of making tea as per café training manual and reference table provided.
  • To ensure stock is rotated and used according to standards.
  • To work together to ensure the café and kitchen is the best it can be.
  • To serve customers efficiently, politely and quickly in an engaging manner.
  • To be able to communicate with confidence about bubble tea.
  • To maintain bubble tea quality through tasting.
  • To maintain the drink equipment and machinery to Bubbleology standards.
  • To view the drink counter / bar from customers’ eyes and clean as you go.
  • To adhere to all aspects of "health and safety" and "food safety" in accordance with the law and Bubbleology standards.
  • To ensure sufficient stock of bubble tea ingredients, packaging, and utensils.

Basic Qualifications

  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
  • Meet café operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and exceptional customer service, cash handling and café safety and security.
  • Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.
  • Prepare beverages to standard recipes
  • Ability to perform many different tasks within the café during each shift

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food/beverage and retail environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to build relationships
