- Job Title: Bricklayer
- Location: LS12 (Leeds, United Kingdom)
- Salary: £15 per hour
- Working Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
Position Overview:
- As a Bricklayer, you will be responsible for performing various bricklaying and masonry tasks, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality are maintained.
- Your primary focus will be on constructing and repairing walls, chimneys, arches, and other brick or block structures.
- This is a full-time position with consistent working hours and competitive hourly pay.
- Carry out bricklaying and masonry tasks according to construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Build and repair walls, partitions, arches, chimneys, and other brick or block structures using appropriate tools and materials.
- Lay bricks in various patterns, ensuring proper alignment and levelness.
- Inspect completed work to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
- Repair and repoint damaged or deteriorated mortar joints.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and contractors, to interpret plans and execute projects effectively.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Sound knowledge of bricklaying techniques, masonry materials, and construction principles.
- Strong physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in construction.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and follow instructions.
- Relevant certifications or vocational training in bricklaying or masonry will be an advantage.
