As part of that success is ensuring that all our customers are beautifully looked after once their dream home is theirs. We are recruiting highly skilled and experienced Bricklayers for our numerous developments across Jersey in the Channel Islands.
What you will do
- Lay bricks, pre-cut stone and concrete blocks in mortar.
- Construct, extend and repair residential buildings i.e. foundations, walls, chimneys etc
- Measuring, marking up, cutting, fitting and finishing Brickwork and Blockwork.
- Using a range of hand and power tools.
- Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.
- Working accurately with detailed plans and specifications
- Erecting brickwork structures such as face walls, internal walls and retaining walls.
- Repairing, maintaining and finishing brickwork utilizing substances such as brick acid.
- Calculating angles and determining the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses.
- Carry out work outdoors in reasonable adverse weather and at height safely.
- Using equipment and tools effectively to perform construction tasks.
What you will have
- Full driving licence (essential requirement)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- own tools
- A valid CSCS card
- Great cooperation, communication, people and team skills
- High levels of ethical conduct, including timekeeping and attendance
- Able to work autonomously.
- High standards of work and attention to detail
