Bosworth Independent College is a relatively small college of approximately 300 students. This enables us to offer a supportive family atmosphere, where students and staff can enjoy their work and thrive as valued people and professionals. We are currently looking to hire a Breakfast Chef to join are wonderful catering team. The catering team provide breakfast lunch and dinner to our boarding students and staff as well as running a popular Coffee Shop in the newly taken over Newton Building.
This role will oversee the morning session, you and your team will provide hot and cold breakfast out of our canteen, based in The Bosworth Hall building.
Key information about the role
Hours – Monday to Friday 6.30am to 11.30am. (25 hours per week, with possible overtime available.)
Hourly rate - £11 per hour.
Holidays – 25 working days holiday leave per year and 8 bank holidays (or days in lieu thereof)
Uniform provided.
Meals provided when on duty
Key Responsibilities and duties
- Open building and be a key holder.
- Accept and check deliveries. Assist with storage of deliveries.
- Be responsible for production of breakfast items for international students.
- Assist with breakfast service.
- Assist head chef with preparation for lunch service.
Person specification
Level 2 catering qualifications desirable
Basic food hygiene certificate required
Enhanced DBS required
Relevant experience
Punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
Ability to work under pressure in a time limited environment
Engaging and positive attitude and willingness to work within an established team.
