Job Description:
Purpose of the role

  • To support the Department Manager & Sales Manager
  • Work closely with existing Breakbulk & Liner customers to analyse their needs and requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to help target and develop new accounts in UK and Ireland.
  • Utilize in-house systems to compile reports and analysis of data pertaining to target clients.
  • Analyse the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
  • As and when required liaise with Sales Support and Documentation teams.
  • Support global sales efforts as required.
  • Work on ways to Increase WW Ocean’s Breakbulk and Liner profile within the industry.
  • Share and distribute sales and marketing best practices and market intelligence to the wider organisation.
  • Be innovative by challenging old assumptions and ways of working.
  • Input in working on departmental strategies and ensure we learn from both our successes and failures.
  • Foster and drive a strong cooperation between the Commercial Organisation and relevant stakeholders, such as Trade, Operations and Terminal.
  • Some direct quoting and customer interaction required

Job Requirements:
Essential Competences

  • Relevant shipping, transportation, or logistic background
  • Breakbulk and Liner product knowledge preferred but not essential
  • To have exceptional customer service skills, and the need to be highly motivated
  • Ability to cope in a fast-paced environment, and adhere to timelines
  • Be a quick learner
  • Understand the industry and its challenges
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Work effectively in a team as well as independently
