Job description
We are a fast-growing company with a clear mission: to revolutionise the food system. With hubs in London, Paris, Milan, New York, Los Angeles and Copenhagen, we’re creating access to consciously-produced and grown food at a scale unparalleled by anyone else in the industry. Since 2004, we have been building a unique supply chain that connects chefs and home cooks alike to an ever-growing community of independent growers, co-operatives and producers.
From the way food is grown, reared and produced to how it gets into kitchens, we’re breaking down barriers built up by the industrial system and sparking a grassroots movement for a better future of food. This is your chance to be a part of it.
Natoora’s Bakery & Mill is focused on producing wholegrain, sourdough loaves made of fresh, whole grain flour stone milled in house. This is because we believe that flavour begins in the soil. As such, we start by selecting heritage grains from speciality growers across the UK, France and Italy. By stone-milling this wheat in-house and using the whole grain, we produce fresh flours displaying the authentic flavours of their origins. We apply the same attention to detail to each ingredient. And so the quality of our bread is rooted in these provenance-led ingredients and our commitment to the traditional craft of sourdough bread baking.
Description
Responsible for efficient baking activities to assure operations are optimised. Activities include mixing the sourdough starter, coordinating deliveries, arranging pick ups, mixing of bread doughs, shaping all breads, scaling of ingredients, cleaning equipment, and scoring bread.
Weekly tasks include: prioritising and assigning equipment maintenance, troubleshooting production issues, maintaining quality product, managing hands on training for new and existing bakers, and ensuring best practice execution.
