The team
ITV Studios is one of the UK’s biggest global TV distribution companies. We represent content from some of the most prestigious and award-winning producers from both the UK and Internationally. Brands like Love Island, The Chase, Come Dine With Me and The Voice are all created and sold by our Production Companies such as Lifted Entertainment, Potato and ITV America.
Our sales department is responsible for selling our extensive catalogue of shows and formats around the world. We work to negotiate deals and secure contracts while always looking ahead for new sales opportunities and developing relationships with new clients. Additionally, we work closely with other departments at ITV Studios (Global Production, Rights, Legal, Finance, Operations) to ensure that deals are completed smoothly and efficiently. Our team is dedicated to maximising revenue and increasing the global reach of our content.
The role
Supporting all activity relating to format (and associated tape) sales for the Brand Partnerships teams for the EMEA region.
You will be liaising with various departments throughout the sales process, conducting market research to help support sales opportunities and pitch preparation, and assisting with post-pitch materials. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with buyers through servicing requests for sales related materials, maintaining and updating SalesForce, and organising sales trips and markets.
This is an entry level position and ideal for an intern or graduate who has previous exposure to the television industry and wants to build a career in sales.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Some exposure to working in a media environment. Ideally in TV distribution, TV formats, or production
- Demonstrable experience building and maintaining relationships in a B2B, or B2C role
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- High level of organisation & ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines whilst maintaining an extremely high level of attention to detail
- Able to speak another European language at business level is preferred, but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a sense of fun in the workplace
- Proactive, enthusiastic and confident.
- Highly numerate & computer literate (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, KeyNote and Gmail) – must be very adaptable and confident with computer systems (particularly databases such as SalesForce)
- A genuine passion for great TV
