Reports to Head of Marketing
We are seeking a forward thinking and results-driven Head of Brand and Marketing Activation to drive the ongoing evolution of our market-leading brand and oversee the activation and delivery of our tactical plans.
As a seasoned marketing professional with a proven track record in brand building and developing and implementing marketing plans, you will lead a team to deliver end to end campaigns and other high-profile initiatives.
As the Head of Brand and Marketing Activation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand presence across key segments and markets of focus, increasing market share, and driving revenue growth. You will also work closely with the wider marketing team, product and client facing specialists and other key business stakeholders, to ideate, create, implement, and report on campaigns.
This role forms part of the Marketing Leadership team; working together to strategically drive forward the Aztec Group brand across a variety of target audiences including prospective and existing clients, key business influencers, and prospective and existing employees.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Implementation
- Translate business goals and strategy into actionable tactical marketing plans, ensuring effective implementation across all channels.
- Collaborate with the asset strategy and growth opportunity teams to define target audiences, positioning, and messaging strategies.
Marketing Campaign Activation
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, print, events, and more.
- Develop all brand touch points to reflect our leading high touch – high tech service offering.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyse data and metrics, and optimize strategies to maximize results.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials and touchpoints.
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling and impactful marketing assets.
Brand Activation and Management
- Oversee management and ongoing development of the Aztec Group brand to ensure it aligns with Aztec's vision, values and goals.
- Develop and manage a brand tracking framework to provide ongoing insights and support our global brand aspirations.
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines, including visual, tone of voice and messaging guidelines to ensure efficient use and consistent application across all physical and digital touchpoints.
- Work with Aztec Academy team to deliver brand related training and tools, ensuring the brand is understood and represented correctly.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide guidance, mentorship, and ensure professional development opportunities for team members.
- Manage internal and external resources effectively, including agencies, freelancers, and vendors.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments to ensure alignment and seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Develop regular reports and dashboards to track and communicate marketing performance to stakeholders.
- Analyse marketing data, identify trends and insights, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Marketing Operations and Budget Management
- Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and ROI.
- Implement marketing processes, systems, and tools to streamline operations and enhance team productivity.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging marketing technologies, and recommend innovative approaches to drive marketing effectiveness.
- Work within Aztec's governance and delegated authority framework.
Skills, knowledge and expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience (10+ years) in marketing, with a focus on campaign execution and team management
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and traditional marketing channels
- Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration
- Competence in using marketing analytics tools to measure and optimise campaign performance
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others
- Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Creative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
