Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) is a key sales channel for BT, and an exciting segment in Enterprise, putting focus on small and medium business customers.
Our purpose in SME is to be the engine for growth for the UK small businesses, ensuring they have brilliant solutions to help their businesses thrive. In a highly competitive market, the Sales Team Leader is responsible for supporting, guiding and tracking the sales advisors in growing and developing business within a portfolio of SME customers. Through building strong relationships with their team and other stakeholders the Sales Team Leader will achieve (exceed!) targets.
What you'll be doing
- Champion the customer. Empower your people to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Be present and continuously work within your team to share best practice on having great conversations with our customers.
- Ensure appropriate, immediate resolution of escalation calls to support the reduction of complaints. Includes calling customers back within agreed timescales.
- Have a high performing team by driving standards. Lead by example. Demonstrate the value of getting it right first time and never accept less than the best.
- Support the delivery of multiple KPIs and targets and hold your team accountable for delivering their targets.
Essential skills
- Confident and effective communicator - able to listen, influence, guide and convey messages articulately both written and verbally.
- Sales experience - proven sales skills is essential - ideally from within Telco.
- Customer service skills - awareness of how to approach and deal with customers wants and needs, setting expectations and providing solutions.
- Track record of achieving/ exceeding targets - motivated and driven by targets, able to focus on outcomes and organise workload to maximise these.
- Leadership - experience of leading in a sales role is advantageous however, even if your leaderships experience is from a different sector and you are a natural leader, you find it easy to lead and motivate others around you then we want to hear from you!
What we would like to see on your CV
- Adaptable and willing to learn - able to take guidance, constructive feedback and follow processes, flexible to try new methods when guided to do so.
- Comfortable using IT systems, databases and software packages - previously experience with data bases, data savvy, email and UC such a Teams.
