Your new team
This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. Working with the rest of the brand engagement and advocacy team to build and develop a fully integrated team that delivers strategic direction in building brands towards our consumers through advocacy, brand in hand experiential programs, trade advocacy and digital amplification. As Brand Ambassadors you are the ‘face’ of our brands
Your unique contribution
You will have four main areas of responsibility:
Advocacy: Identify commercial opportunities (gain new listings) within the UK trade for your specific brand. Develop and implement a plan to help grow advocacy, distribution, and visibility for your brand across the UK consumer facing. Conduct tutored consumer tastings to industry leading standards achieving marketing and commercial objectives. Host your brand consumer and trade events leaving participants feeling highly engaged with your brand. As well as your brand guests whilst in the UK. Work with Brand Homes to activate and leverage with consumer and trade experiences. Develop strong and mutually productive customer relationships delivering tailored and bespoke plans. Provide source of education to the marketing function in terms of up-to-date learnings on the best practice. Operate with the knowledge constraints in the marketplace these include Responsible drinking codes of conduct on promotion, sponsorship, and sampling. Awareness of any legislative measures proposed or taken by the government affecting the licensed trade e.g. relaxation of licensing laws.
Activations: Amplify all consumer activation, events PR through PRUK social platforms as agreed with Advocacy & Education Manager. Be the ‘face’ of your brand in dealing with trade press /PR activities. Ensure each project we work on is integrated with all the elements of the marketing mix and channels. Design and deliver compelling consumer focused events with customers, optimising the impact of activation resource. Organising events, executing sponsorships, and creating best in class visibility. Manage agencies to ensure projects are optimised
Amplification: Direct & indirect digital amplification. Deliver and amplify updates on PRUK social media platforms as agreed with Brand Advocacy and Engagement Manager. Push new technology to be implemented where appropriate through our activity - always ahead of the game
Reporting: Apply rigorous planning by approving all steps in implementing solutions through regular reviews against briefs. Monitor and feedback competitor activity. Deliver monthly report of all Ambassador activity within trade. Deliver and amplify updates on PRUK social media platforms as agreed with Brand Advocacy and Engagement Manager. Identify, capture, and communicate key learnings to inform future activation planning. Ensure ROI is delivered for each activity we deliver, set clear objectives at the start of the project
Who you’ll be working with
Internally, you’ll work with PRUK and Brand Company Marketing teams, the Portfolio Ambassadors, Commercial, Experiential, Customer Marketing and Digital teams, Field Sales BDE’s & CAE’s (Prestige, ABC) and RBM’s as well as the Customer Marketing team.
Externally, your contacts will be your trade / consumer press and other key influencers, Event agencies and Trade and consumer influences

  • Experience with trade and consumer advocacy, distribution, and rate of sale by utilising training tools, events, activations, drinks, and PR.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of exciting and captivating activation events with specific customers that drive brand in hand experiences.
