Borderlands is a Creative People and Places (CPP) project funded primarily by Arts Council England (ACE) with support from Tees Valley Combined Authority, Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland Councils. We are hosted by Teesside University and have an independent Consortium with senior leadership from Tees Valley Education, You’ve Got This, MIMA, North Star Housing, Tees Valley Nature Partnership, and Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation.
We are now seeking an Operations Manager to build on the excellent work that has started across South Tees. You would be responsible for the day to day operational management of the Borderlands Project and support the Project Director through specific activities relating to the administration, finances and team and project management, to meet project aims.
You will support the Borderlands team on a day to day basis, to ensure effective delivery of major cultural programmes for Borderlands, and work in collaboration with the Project Director, creatives and our communities, to increase arts and cultural engagement and participation in Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland. Borderlands wants to invest in promise, leadership potential and ambitions of our communities, demonstrate impact and leave a lasting legacy and a strong and enthusiastic operational lead is needed to ensure this.
We are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and significant experience of operational management and a passion for community based projects and impact. You will need to be able to work well in a team and have experience of project and people management, with a proven track record of budget management, reporting and project delivery through consultation and stakeholder engagement.
This is an exciting time for the right person to help to shape and deliver an exciting programme designed with and for the community and as Operations Manager, you would be key to community engagement, ongoing activity and overall success of this wonderful project.
