We are hiring a 20 hour per week bookkeeper with flexibility on how the 20 hours are worked. They can be spread over all 5 weekdays; however, the position will require some hours on-site at our location in Halifax during business hours.
The position is made up of the following work tasks:
· Posting bills and payment transactions including credit card purchases
· Entering of deposits from credit card sales receipts from Converge/Elavon
· Reconciling the bank and credit card transactions
· Accounts receivable collections
· Reconciling all other accounts such as clearing accounts, prepaids and deferred revenue
· Prepare monthly reports for management
· Month end review and preparing and filing HST
Requirements
· You must have QuickBooks Desktop experience and must have a minimum of 3 years hands on Canadian bookkeeping experience
· Know how to process multicurrency transactions
· Be able to deal with both customer deposits
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
· Detail-oriented, flexible, a great communicator, creative, and optimistic
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
· Having an accounting designation or post secondary education is a must
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: $52,000.00-$62,400.00 per year
