Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties which include assisting with the month-end financial closing process, preparing and analyzing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Job Description:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $100k to $105k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Position Objective:
Supporting month-end close process, including Gift card/Gift cert reconciliation preparation, account analysis, month-end journal entries, month-end reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations as assigned. Collaborating with business assets management function and ensure timely close of the capital projects in accordance with the company capitalization policy.
Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance. Assisting with the monthly variance analysis report including commentary of actual results vs prior year. Building and assisting with Financial and Ad-Hoc reporting. Assisting with the preparation of governmental and regulatory census forms. Assisting with Insurance renewal and insurance claims process. Initiating operational accounting efficiencies through process improvement and automation. Coordinating with the Business Analyst to troubleshoot issues with the ERP system. Assisting in various special projects as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with at least 5+ years general accounting experience. Experience with Workday Financials and Workday Financial Reporting is a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including creating/maintaining templates, Pivot Tables, V-lookups, Excel nested IF function).
Experience using ERP systems, preferably Workday Financial Management.
Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Demonstrate great attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Able to work with minimal supervision in a highly collaborative manner to meet required deadlines and perform all necessary tasks.
Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.
