Bookkeeper- Coatbridge, Scotland
Retronix is a leader in Electronic Component recovery and refurbishment who were recently acquired by multibillion dollar company Jabil. We offer a unique set of technology solutions aimed at making high reliability electronics more reliable and reducing manufacturing costs by PCB/IC repair and recycling.
Due to a rate of rapid expansion Retronix PCB have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Bookkeeper. Working from our office in Coatbridge, Scotland. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years bookkeeping experience.
Reporting into the Financial Controller this position will require an organised, professional, and driven individual who is used to operating in a dynamic fast paced environment.
Within this position, you will be responsible but not limited to the below tasks:
- Maintaining and analyzing the company’s accounting system and work independently with general supervision from management.
- Review and analyzes general ledger account balances.
- Preparing and Sending customer invoices.
- Management of Supplier bill entry and payments.
- Verify accuracy, makes recommendations for corrections.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation and balance sheets.
- Analyze financial transactions.
- Analyze data related to overall profit and costing detail.
- Prepare timely reports and communication with functional areas.
- Prepare Bank reconciliations.
- Company Credit card reconciliations.
- Train other employees both within and outside the department.
- Collect data and prepare reports on inventories, cost of goods sold and product cost variances.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Support with Audit of Financial Statements.
- Support operations and other staff with queries.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements and skills
- Proven bookkeeping experience (3 years experience preferred)
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to reliably commute to Coatbridge office.

Schedule
- Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm
- Friday 8am - 2pm
