RE: Accountant/Bookkeeping Job Posting
The Hatchet Lake Band Store is a 12,000-foot general merchandise remote store located in northern Saskatchewan. The store sells retail grocery, hardware, smallware, lumber, fuel, and appliances. The store also operates a motel in the community. We are actively seeking an accountant to oversee and assist the store management team and finance team with proper accounting functions and report to the CEO and Store General Manager.
Job Details (But not Limited To):
- Good oral and written skills.
- Must have computer experience especially in Quick Books and Excel.
- Analyze financial documents and reports.
- Examine accounting records.
- Prepare financial statements and reports.
- Knowledge and experience in reporting and working with federal and provincial government requirements.
- Handle and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Prepare budget forecasts.
- Comply with financial policies and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Addition certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
- Must be willing to travel (expenses and accommodation paid by company) to location from time to time for hands on mentoring to finance team.
- Wage will depend on experience and qualifications.
