At Emily Mantle Professional Corporation, we are dedicated to helping clients start, scale, and build businesses and wealth, together. We provide clients with full-cycle service including financial system design, recordkeeping using modern and integrated technology, fractional CFO consulting including operational and performance improvement, and professional accounting, tax compliance and advisory services.
We work with some of the coolest businesses and organizations in Northern Ontario and we are looking for bookkeepers and/or senior bookkeepers to join our close-knit team. The salary range for this role will depend on your experience.
About the Role
As a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper with EMPC, you will have the opportunity to receive exposure to a variety of interesting client-service work in a positive and supportive environment. You will work closely with the engagement partner, clients, and team members in all facets of the recordkeeping segment of the work we do.
What Your Day to Day Will Look Like
· You will prepare and maintain financial records for clients on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Common software we regularly use includes QBO, Xero, Dext, and Hubdoc.
· You will reconcile accounts and prepare reports for clients.
· You will maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and payables for clients.
· You will process payroll for clients through third party providers such as Wagepoint and Payworks.
· You will prepare government filings such as HST and WSIB for clients.
· You may have other duties and projects as required.
What You Need to Succeed
· Certificate or diploma in business or accounting is considered an asset.
· An interest in working with private businesses and their owners.
· A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
· Experience working with the software we commonly use is considered an asset.
· Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, sales tax, and payroll tax considered an asset.

Salary: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
