CareStaff24 Ltd are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper
Duties and responsibilities
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software (Xero)
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Paying invoices and tracking bank account balances
- Completing VAT returns
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and recording any inconsistencies
- Managing expense claims
This is a part-time position (3 days per week).
Skills and qualifications
- Good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Mathematics skills
- Administrative skills
- Computer literacy, especially familiarity with spreadsheets, databases and accounting software such as Microsoft Office and Excel
- Multi-tasking and organizational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
- Interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers and suppliers
- Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters
- Accounting qualification preferred but not essential
