Atlantis Equencia group of Companies is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant Bookkeeper to join our team at the HQ located on Sykes St, in Meaford, Ontario.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and performing reconciliations. This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and reports.
- Prepare tax returns and other financial documents.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Perform reconciliations of accounts and ensure accuracy of information.
- Assist in the development of internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensures timely and accurate posting and payment of accounts payables, and accounts payables, full cycle accounting. Ensuring timely payments to avoid penalties and default accounts, reconciliations and answering all supplier inquires.
- Bookkeepers participates actively and maintains ongoing relations with external clients, suppliers, Billing and Department Management.
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping, perform all duties related to accounts payable, gov’t remittances, bank reconciliations, and other clerical tasks.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bookkeeping role includes but not limited to the following duties:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: Completion of a College Diploma or University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Management or related discipline A minimum of five (5) years of experience in full- cycle accounting .. Certified Professional Accountants (CGA) or any other related professional memberships and certifications considered an asset Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks required.
