Job description

Eco Building Specialists Ltd is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, able to multi-task, and has a positive 'can do' attitude. The ideal candidate will have good numerical aptitude, experienced in working with Xero and Excel.

This position is for remote work, but the candidate must be able to travel to London, Chiswick for interview in person. Once selected, the candidate must be able to come for 2-day induction, 1-night accommodation will be covered by us.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • AAT level 3, or part-qualified accountant
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in bookkeeping
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in accounting
  • Proficient in Xero
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and procedures
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good numerical aptitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Reconciling/ processing all bank transactions in Xero accurately and in timely manner.
  • Posting daily transactions in Xero.
  • Filing and posting Purchase Invoices and receipts.
  • Preparing and posting Sales Invoices, e-mailing to clients.
  • Preparing monthly CIS and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Preparing monthly VAT reports.
  • Preparing weekly sub-contractor wages sheet.
  • Transferring wages and receipt refunds.
  • Preparing Quotes and e-mailing to clients.
  • Preparing and regularly updating project Master documents in Excel.
  • Filling in project schedule to Microsoft project plan.
  • Liaising with Project Manager on a daily basis by phone/Zoom
  • Updating job info and pictures on Company's web-site.
  • Collating planning permissions lists and preparing mailings.
  • Ordering flyers, site signs and other admin duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Full time position, working Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4.30 pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
