International Automotive Components Group (IAC Group) is a leading global supplier of automotive components and systems, including interior and exterior trim. Our product portfolio spans across automotive components and systems, including instrument panels, console systems, door panels, headliners and overhead systems to automakers around the world. Main Purpose of Role
To maintain the internal BOM Data systems critical to operating the business. Liaison with multifunctional teams of people with the purpose of collecting and managing data through the input of data into the Plant's systems. Ensure the highest levels of accuracy are maintained and that the processes and procedure are followed.
Principal Accountabilities
- Translate engineering bills of materials (BOM's) and transpose them onto System 21 (Plant ERP system).
- Ascertain the correct process routes and input them into the system.
- Sales contract request database management through Lotus Notes.
- Input process staffing and cycle times into System 21.
- Verify current products and processes to ensure that they match those inputted on to the system.
- Assign BOM routings depending on make or buy decisions.
- Manage PLM system and link PLM base numbers to System 21 base numbers.
- Understand and comply with IAC Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Manage / update master Plant BOM's within Teams/Excel ensuring all reflects current status.
- Liaise with departmental reps to ensure any CR's have current/applicable feasibility actions.
- Track engineering change implementations in relevant areas.
- Analyse production and sales data to validate customer take rates and average car set value forecasts.
Skills & Experience:
- Candidates will have relevant previous experience of working within a high volume, automotive manufacturing environment coupled with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
- Excellent technical and administrative skills required
- Good knowledge of engineering BOM's
- Sound understanding of business systems and structures
- Ideally working knowledge of PLM system(s)
- Excellent organisational and communicational skills at all levels
- Microsoft office intermediate to advanced skills essential
