What To Expect

As the owner of two of the most iconic car brands in the world and an amazing and enviable back catalogue of products, we provide the widest range of products and services of any Classic car organisation; continuation models, reborn factory rebuilds, restorations, bespoke commissions and modern interpretations all with a global customer base. As the classic body interior/exterior engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the interior and exterior trim parts in our classic vehicles, including the re-creation of original components and development of new parts to support our programmes.

You will ensure the development is robust, compliant and delivered on time and to budget by combining subject matter knowledge with a hands-on approach. Working closely with your stakeholders within classic, core Jaguar Land Rover, suppliers you will define, develop and deliver new interior and exterior concepts through to production.

What You Will Need

You will define and deliver body commodity plans to quality, cost and time that meet customer requirements as defined in the programme delivery. You will develop and apply Classic-appropriate DV standards, define and manage test plans through to engineering sign off, ensure robust delivery of component, subsystem & whole vehicle requirements. You will provide technical support to colleagues during development, early vehicle builds and launch phases. Due to the cross functional nature of this position, you will be expected to support the aftermarket team in bringing products to market.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience of delivering interior trim OR exterior body parts through to production for classic/small scale business type
• Proven track record of delivery experience of projects or components to deadlines
