Job description
We are seeking a new Board Member and a Risk and Audit Committee Member to join our organisation and contribute to the agenda of transformation here at Magna. With audit experience and accredited finance qualifications, out of sector experience would be welcomed but an ability to hit the ground running is essential. We work across Dorset and Somerset, but most of our Board and committee meetings are virtual.
About the role
We are investing heavily in our leadership team, executive and Board and to strengthen our non-executive governance arrangements in relation to finance and audit we are now recruiting for these two roles. You will have the opportunity to help support our ambitions to grow the organisation as we go out to re-finance again, having done so successfully two years ago. This will support our plans to meet the growing demand for homes through our innovative Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) development programme. We are seeking individuals with keen experience and knowledge in finance and treasury management, as well as the following desirable skills;
- Audit or risk management experience
- Raising finance
- Compliance management
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a connection to our local community or region and from people who can bring different perspectives and diverse lived experiences to the Board. Equality, diversity, and inclusion underpin the improvements we are making and the board is leading by example. We offer flexibility in our meetings with most being held virtually and we provide a full induction programme and provide support and resources to enable accessibility and inclusion.
- Time commitment: 2 days a month
- Remuneration: £4,500 per annum plus reasonable expenses
- Location: Our office is in Dorchester, but most Board meetings and committee meetings are held virtually.
- Closing date: 10am Tuesday 6th June
Full details for both roles can be found HERE.
