Job description
We are seeking a full-time Handover Specialist to support the team of New BMW Sales Consultants. This role will take ownership for the fulfilment of all responsibilities relating to the customer and their new BMW vehicle, following conclusion of the contract.
Reporting into the New BMW Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for progressing the delivery arrangements for new BMW vehicles via our in-house Preparation Centre, ensuring that cleared funds have been received, and that part-exchange vehicles are re-appraised and speedily entered into our Used vehicle preparation process. The highlight of the role is the handover of all New BMW vehicles to customers, with the objective of creating a truly special occasion for the customer, and cementing a lifelong relationship with the company. There may be an element of weekend working incorporating test-drive support, as required, alongside the Sales Consultants.
Successful applicants are likely to have some experience in a modern, customer-centric, sales support or customer service environment. It is not necessary to have direct automotive industry experience, but candidates should ideally be ‘petrolheads’ at heart, and be capable of and interested in becoming real experts in the BMW product range. A flair and passion for understanding new technology is essential, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, good numeracy skills, being highly organised, and having a genuine natural passion for looking after customers.
Based at our Bedford Road, Northampton dealership, the role will be to join a team with rota working, including some early evening and weekend work.
