Fixed Term for 2 years.
Reducing harm associated with chaotic injecting drug use and unsafe sexual practices.
Responsible for the provision of injecting equipment, harm minimisation information and support in collaboration with other agencies to “hard to reach” injecting drug users across Lothian.
This will be provided in a number of settings; including outreach, mobile bus and street work contact.
Provision of teaching, training and supervision to students undertaking post registration degrees or diplomas and to other professionals requiring knowledge about harm reduction/minimisation.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
